Please note: For Zone 2: Amended in 2011

For the Bermuda Bowl that follows the Rosenblum, USA selects one team in the Rosenblum year and one in the Bermuda Bowl year. For the Bermuda Bowl that follows the World Bridge Games (formerly Olympiad), USA selects both teams in the Bermuda Bowl year.

First Year:

1st place = 125MP 0.75PP
2nd place = 65 MP

Second Year:

1st place = 125MP 0.75PP
2nd place = 65 MP
3rd place = 30 MP

In the years where there is only one qualifying event the Master Points are awarded as :

1st place = 150 MP 1 PP
2nd place = 100 MP 0.5 PP
3rd place = 80 MP
4th place = 50 MP
5th place = 30 MP

2019 changes:
Canada and Mexico will be awarded as 'Less than 8 teams participating' as will Australia and New Zealand ( Zone 7 )

Because the bi-country playoff for each category does not always take place:

1) If a playoff match takes place, then the WMPs and PPs are awarded to the two participating teams in accordance with the WMP plan, with the winner awarded 1st and the loser 2nd.

2) If one of the two countries does not compete in the category, then it is considered to forfeit and is not awarded any WMPs. The other team is awarded 1st place WMPs and PPs provided they proceed to compete in the world championships.

3) If neither country competes in a category, neither country is awarded any WMPs or PPs.
